I had an idea about using acrostics to memorise foreign language vocabulary. Start with the idea that a foreign language word like 'Pomme' in French is spelled with an 'A' word in English: Apple. So maybe I could imagine an apple and in that image will be something that represents the letter 'P'; and that would prompt me that the French word for 'Apple' begins with 'P'.
Now adapt that idea by using a sentence or phrase as the title of an image of an apple. The sentence would begin with 'P'. If I can recall the apple image with the title text then I have a prompt that 'Apple' begins with 'P' in French.
Eg. "Pick an apple!"
The 'P' of 'Pick....' is the prompt for 'P' in 'Pomme'.
But what if there is a foreign language where a large number of the overall vocabulary begins with 'P'? English is not very rich in words which begin with 'P'. So it would make it challenging to think up titles for images such as the apple image: titles which begin with 'P' and relate to an apple, etc.
So I might have a rule that a title beginning with 'T' [a more common English first letter] will be interpreted to mean that the foreign word of an image avtually begins with 'P'. I would make a lookup table of popular English letters and map them to the popular letters of the foreign language. While that lookup table is good for that one language, it would be wrongly balanced for helping me to represent a different language. Eg. A language that rarely uses theletter 'P'. Why use up the frequent English letter 'T' as P's related letter if 'P' is not going to occur much?
Overall, I think that I should choose one language, make a lookup table for it, and then stick to it. My example langugae is Arabic.
And I want each title to have at least 3 words in it; and each of the first three words will indicate a consonant or other major letter of the Arabic spelling of a word. So, the word 'Thabat' (which means that something is stable) would need 3 words that represent the 'TH', the 'B' and the 'T'. And what will then happen is that I will adjust the image to be a close match to what the title is saying.
In 2026, because AI is so good, I asked it to check my acrostic. It pointed out that I missed out an "A-AN" word for representing the alif character.
